About Us
Our Mission
The Cybersecurity Club at Cherry Creek High School is dedicated to promoting cybersecurity awareness, education, and skills development among students. We aim to prepare our members for future careers in the field and foster a community of security-minded individuals.
Through hands-on training, competition preparation, and industry guest speakers, we provide students with real-world cybersecurity experience and knowledge. Our club participates in numerous competitions including CyberPatriot, PicoCTF, and Lockheed Martin's CyberQuest.
No prior experience is necessary to join – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
What We Do
Competitions
We participate in various cybersecurity competitions including CyberPatriot, PicoCTF, HSOreSec, and Lockheed Martin's CyberQuest. These competitions allow students to apply their knowledge in simulated scenarios.
Training
Weekly meetings include hands-on technical training covering topics like network security, operating system hardening, cryptography, and web security. We prepare students for competitions and future careers in the field.
Guest Speakers
We invite industry professionals to share their expertise and experiences in the cybersecurity field, providing students with insights into potential career paths and current industry trends.
Community Service
Our club organizes outreach activities to promote cybersecurity awareness in our community, including workshops for middle school students and digital safety presentations.
